Recap: Union Pines vs. Trinity

Union Pines quarterback Ben Bowbliss completed 18 of 22 passes for 256 yards, two touchdowns and one interception as the Vikings beat Trinity 35-30 Friday. The sophomore also carried the ball 13 times for 13 yards, 2 rushing touchdowns and a 2-point conversion as the Vikings improved to 4-0 on the season.

Running back Kalon Green had 8 carries for 59 yards and a touchdown as Union Pines generated 314 yards of total offense. Tyler Packer caught 3 passes for 106 yards, including a 90-yard touchdown, while teammate Joseph Gisler had 4 catches for 16 yards and a touchdown.

The Union Pines defense make a game-winning stand as Trinity had the ball first and goal from the 8 with 45 seconds to play.

The Vikings visit Western Harnett next week.
