Pinecrest's lightning and thunder running back duo of of Zaythan Hill and Corey Patterson shredded the Bear defense for 280 yards. Hill had 24 carries for 175 yards and 1 touchdown while Patterson quietly accumulated 105 yards on 16 carries.
Alexander Roberts found a host of Bear defenders in the backfield late in the first quarter on one if his two carries on the night. The senior changed direction and found a wall of blockers for 23-yard touchdown.
Place kicker Cameron Haiduven nailed a 31-yard field goal with 5:59 to play in the first half.
Quarterback Greg Van Steen executed a flawless 2-minute offense just before halftime finishing the drive with a 1-yard scamper for the third Patriot touchdown with 46 seconds left in the quarter. The senior completed 1 of 7 passes for 53 yards and one interception.
